The partial transmit sequences (PTS) method used to reduce Peak average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) which was first presented in the late 1950’s and characterized in the mid 1960’s. In this paper, a comparative analysis of different number of iterations used in Genetic Algorithm (GA) optimization and results of that in Peak average power ratio (PAPR) with comparative analysis with the partial transmit sequences (PTS) method, the simulation used WLAN in IEEE 802.11a system parameters used for simulation to this paper. The simulation results show better values for PAPR reduction arrive to less than 2 dB.
